How it works

From a stack of bills to a clear list of what to fix, in rupees.

BillTrends reads your last 12 electricity bills across every Indian DISCOM format, keeps each number tied to the line it came from, and ranks the fixes and solar payback in one report you can act on.

The walk-through

From upload to proof, in seven plain steps.

Ranked by rupee impact

Power factor penaltyContract demand headroomTime-of-Day leakageTariff categoryBilling / arrears

Biggest, most recurring leak first. Each ₹ opens to the exact bill line.

Upload

Start with at least 3 bills

Upload the PDFs you already have. A report reads the latest 12 billed months, so the full year is visible.

Read

AI reads every bill line

BillTrends reads charges, penalties, demand, ToD rows, tariff category, taxes, and adjustments across Indian DISCOM formats.

Trace

Every number keeps its source

The report links figures back to bill PDF, page, month, and line so findings can be checked before action.

Preview

Free preview first

Your bills read back are free. The savings plan, the action plan and the planners use Report Credits.

Plan

Solar and BESS economics

Payback, NPV, IRR, and battery sensitivity use the user's actual tariff and state yield, not a generic calculator.

Survey

Optional on-site energy audit

Energy auditors and consultants can capture motors, capacitor banks, measured THD, and whole-site measures, with safe defaults, and the report prices them alongside the bill findings.

Track

Upload monthly, watch the number move

Each new bill re-prices the leaks against that month's tariff. The Scorecard tracks every savings lever month by month, with a before-and-after around each measure you implement.

What it costs

Reading your bills back is free and stays free: spend, consumption and demand trends, power factor, time of day, and every charge you actually paid.

Full report

The savings work uses Report Credits: one credit per connection, with a 3-bill minimum so a credit never buys a report that cannot say anything. A paid credit also puts your own branding on it, for 12 months.

The big move

Solar and battery payback, on your own tariff.

Solar payback changes by tariff, state yield, consumption pattern, and ToD treatment. BillTrends keeps the bill audit and solar model together so the payback is built from the same 12-month view.

The planner can show NPV, IRR, payback years, and BESS sensitivity. It is an estimate for decision support, not a performance guarantee.

Fair questions

The things owners ask first.

Is it accurate?

It is designed to be checkable. Each number is traced to a source page and bill line. Savings and solar figures are estimates, not guarantees.

Does it cover my DISCOM?

BillTrends is built for Indian DISCOM bills across states, including MSEDCL, Adani Electricity, Tata Power, BESCOM, TNEB, TPDDL, BRPL, BYPL, PSPCL, GUVNL, and UPPCL.

Why should I upload a new bill every month?

Because the saving has to show up on the next bill to be real. Monthly uploads keep the 12-month trend current, re-rank leaks against the tariff in force that month, and give each implemented measure a before-and-after reading on the Scorecard.

What about my data?

Uploads are sealed to your account: never pooled, sold, or shown to another user. Bills are stored only so your reports can be generated, and deletion is available on request. BillTrends uses Google Analytics to measure site usage in aggregate; your bills and reports are never sold or used for advertising.
