About BillTrends

The savings hide on page two of your power bill. We make every rupee traceable.

BillTrends is built for the way Indian bills actually work. It reads demand charges, power factor penal charges, ToD rows, tariff category treatment, billing adjustments, rooftop solar economics and on-site energy audits, then explains each one to the factory owner, solar consultant or accredited energy auditor who has to act on it.

Why we built it

The bill should explain the money.

Indian electricity bills can be accurate and still be hard to understand. A factory owner sees the total. A solar consultant sees the tariff puzzle. An energy auditor sees a week of data entry. BillTrends serves all three with one report that starts with rupees, keeps the source trail intact, and stays sealed to the account that made it.

This is not a generic dashboard. It is a focused audit and payback report for Indian bills, Indian DISCOMs, and Indian decision-making.

How it works

From your uploaded bills to a ranked list of fixes.

Step 1

Upload the bill PDFs

Add 3 to 12 DISCOM bill PDFs for one connection. The account stays sealed to the user and the workspace that uploaded it.

Step 2

Read every charge line

BillTrends extracts units, demand, fixed charges, PF rows, ToD rows, duties, taxes, arrears, adjustments and solar rows wherever they appear.

Step 3

Use the tariff of that month

Each bill is reconciled against the tariff order in force for that bill's own month, so the reading is point-in-time, not a generic current-rate lookup.

Step 4

Rank the avoidable charges

Findings are ranked by rupees, and every figure traces back to the bill line, page, month and source PDF behind it.

What we hold to

The report is useful only if the source trail survives.

BillTrends is designed for decisions where the next step may involve a DISCOM query, a tariff correction, a capacitor bank, a contract-demand change, a solar proposal, or an energy-audit recommendation. The report has to be readable by the owner and defensible to the consultant.

  • If a finding cannot point to a source, it is a hypothesis, not a conclusion.
  • Tariff interpretation stays point-in-time, because the right order is the one that applied to that bill month.
  • When a number needs judgement, the report starts with a safe default and discloses the adjustable override.
  • Each account is a sealed workspace. Uploads are never pooled, sold, or used to train models.
  • Savings and payback are estimates with a source trail, not guarantees.

That is why the product favours traceability over a dramatic claim. A number can be read from a bill, calculated from bill rows, taken from a tariff order, entered as a disclosed assumption, or marked as surveyed. When the source is weak, the wording stays cautious.

Fair questions

Privacy, coverage, and pricing.

Can other users see my uploaded bills?

No. Each account is a sealed workspace. Other users cannot see your uploaded bills unless you explicitly share a specific client with them.

Do you sell or train on my bills?

No. Uploads are never sold, pooled across customers, or used to train models.

Which DISCOMs does it read?

BillTrends reads MSEDCL, Adani Electricity, Tata Power, BESCOM, TNEB, TPDDL and more, each against the tariff in force for the bill month.

How is pricing set?

Reading your bills back is free and stays free. The savings work uses manual Report Credits, and the price is confirmed when you contact BillTrends.
