What should be checked during a night round?
A night round shows the truth of hotel energy discipline. During the day, every area has an explanation. Late at night, unnecessary lighting, AC and exhaust become easier to spot.
The chief engineer or owner should occasionally walk the property after normal activity falls. Check banquet halls after events, empty meeting rooms, back offices, staff areas, kitchen exhaust, parking lights and pump rooms. The point is not to scold staff. The point is to convert invisible habits into operating rules.

- Areas cooled with no occupancy.
- Lights running in daylight-linked or closed spaces.
